The software is called "eWriter Pro" and it's absolutely the 'best in class' I've come across when it comes to creating PDF ebooks. It's certainly the EASIEST I've ever used.
You can write your content directly inside the software (complete with hyperlinked text, images, page breaks, page footers and so on) and then just hit the PDF icon to create your ebook.
