I Finally Created My First Squidoo Lens!

Friday, July 9th, 2010

Hi. I want to outline the process behind the making of my Hilarious Jokes and UFO Enigma ebooks — in the hope that it might inspire you to create similar ebooks of your own.

Rather than just put the information up on the Ebook Times Blog, I did something else that I've been MEANING to do for ages — I finally created my first Squidoo Lens! It's called Making Ebooks Using Public Domain Content

Besides a lot of useful information, I've also included some nice free downloads in the 'Resources' section.

Be sure to check it out and don't hesitate to leave your questions or comments (you don't need to be logged in to comment).

See you there!

Michael

The UFO Enigma with MRR and PLR

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Hi. One great way to bring more people to your site (over the medium and long term) is to give away ebooks that have broad popular appeal (and that contain YOUR links/ads).

That was the idea behind my Hilarious Jokes ebook (with PLR), and that's the idea behind my new PLR ebook, The UFO Enigma.

These kind of ebooks (ones that are simply enjoyable or entertaining) are still pretty rare — and so get passed around a LOT more than your average 'how to' ebook.

It's a simple process…

You take an ebook like 'The UFO Enigma' and brand it with your own info. Then, you just give it away for free — and encourage your readers to give it away too.

Some of the people who get it from you will pass it on to others (their website visitors, their Facebook friends, their Twitter Followers, their blog readers, their family…) who will in turn pass it on to yet more people.

Taking 20 minutes now to brand a single ebook can result in a steady flow of new visitors long into the future at no additional cost or effort on your part.

So why not give it a shot?

Grab a copy of The UFO Enigma and take 20 minutes to build for the future.

Oh, and by the way…

You also get master resale rights to this package.

That means that, even if you're not interested in the private label rights to "The UFO Enigma" ebook itself, you can still resell the package 'as is' from your own website.

You'll get a ready-to-go website just like this one:
http://www.ebooktimes.com/ufo_enigma_plr_2706

Just change the order link to your own, send it online and you're good to go.

And considering the price, it shouldn't take you long to get a good return.

All the best,

Michael

Hi. Two quickies for you today…

QUICKIE #1

I've just put a new site online offering a very nice piece of software for creating ecovers. If you're looking for a quick and easy way to design professional boxes, books, DVDs, and so on, then this is for you. (Even if you don't create your own products, this is the perfect solution for re-branding all those PLR products you have on your PC…)

You'll find all the details here:

Kim Roach has uploaded a list she calls "The Ultimate Internet Marketing Toolbox" on the Warrior forum. Basically, it's a comprehensive list of everything you'll need to get your work done online.

Here’s something nice for you…

Here’s a nice little piece of software for you (with MRR)

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

Hi. I've got a nice download for you today. You'll find it below.

Firstly, however, a few words about Scribd.

—- Sidenote —–
In a hurry? Get the details here:
http://www.ebooktimes.com/str_0401
(BTW, I've added a nice video bonus to the page.)
—- End Sidenote —–

So, what exactly is Scribd?

Basically, it's a platform for creating, distributing, giving away or selling documents.

You can use it to share PDF files, DOC files, TXT files as well as Excel files, PowerPoint files and more. You can create documents 'on the fly' inside Scribd — or you can upload them from your PC.

Scribd is a new way of getting your word out to people — sort of like article marketing on steroids.

You can use it to distribute articles, give away ebooks (or sample chapters) for promo purposes, and so on.

AND…

Best of all, you can use Scribd to drive LOTS of people to your website.

Besides all the people that will come into direct contact with you on the site, there are two other important considerations…

1. Google LOVES Scribd content.

2. You can add as many links/images/etc. to the content you put on Scribd — something you can't do freely on sites like Squidoo or EzineArticles.

Scribd is growing FAST and is set to become HUGE in 2010. This is your chance to get in EARLY and establish yourself.

To find out everything you'll need to know about Scribd check out this new guide (plus additional videos) here:
http://www.ebooktimes.com/str_0401

And now, your download. You'll find it here (and it includes MRR):

Are you guilty of this?

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

Hi. A lot of people (and I was guilty of this too) are under the mistaken belief that the only things available in the public domain are ancient texts, old TV clips or turn-of-the-century photographs.

This couldn't be further from the truth.

NEW content is being added to the public domain ALL the time. New texts, new videos, new music, new photos… This stuff is being added EVERY day — you just need to know where to look for it.

That means that there is a huge source of materials out there that you can use to create new products, new giveaways — or simply to provide great content for your website, blog, etc.

If you're still not sure how to get started mining this massive content supply, then you should take a look at this brand new set of video tutorials — they'll show you how and where to start exploring the vast world of public domain content:
http://www.public-domain.us/pd-fast/

(Reminder: This package includes Master Resale Rights AND… I've included the terrific 'Public Domain Survival Kit' as well, so you'll have everything you need to begin your exploration of
the world of public domain content.)

All the best,

Michael

Traffic P.O.A. #2

Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010
Hi. Welcome to my latest Traffic Plan of Action.

The idea behind these plans is that they take seemingly complex traffic strategies and break them down into their component parts so that you can see for yourself how easily they can be executed.

Today we're going to look at how you can use ebooks with Private Label Rights (PLR) to drive traffic to your website.

Let's get started…

Step 1:
Find an ebook — or a series of articles — related to the topic of the website you want to promote.

If you can't find anything specifically related to your website's subject, perhaps you can find something that appeals to the same target market? For example, if your website deals with baby care, an ebook on baby food or dealing with colic or general parenting will reach a lot of the same people you're aiming to attract.

There are plenty of sources of PLR ebooks and articles out there. Here's a couple to get you started…

PLR Wholesaler: the free version has lots to offer, but the full version is simply excellent.
Private-Label-Content.net: A collection of 15,000 articles across a vast range of subjects.

Run a few searches on Google for plr ebooks, plr content, private label articles, private label ebooks and so on to find plenty more sources.

If you really can't find anything to fit your target market, you could go for the 'broad appeal' approach. Basically, this means using a topic that appeals to so many people, that it will hit some of your target market as well. The Hilarious Jokes Ebook (with PLR) that I recently released is a good example of this.

Once you've located an ebook — or collection of articles — be sure to read them to verify that the quality is up to scratch. Feel free to edit them to remove any errors or, simply, to make them your own.

Step 2:
Open the ebook (or compile the articles) in your favorite text editor, such as MS Word. Add your links/advertising for your website towards the beginning and, (this is IMPORTANT), make it clear to the reader that he/she is allowed to give it away to their family, friends, website visitors, Twitter followers and so on.
— Sidenote —
You could take this a step further and make the ebook brandable — that is, allow other readers to add a link of their own into the ebook before passing it on. This has the advantage of giving readers a greater incentive to give it to others, thus increasing your exposure. On the downside, it adds extra work for you when working on this POA, so you might want to skip it — at least for now.

If you DO want to make it brandable, you might find this tutorial (which includes a Word template) useful:

— End Sidenote —

Step 3:
Compile it into a PDF.

If you're not yet equipped for making PDFs, you'll find this blog post useful:
http://www.ebooktimes.com/how_to_make_pdfs

If you really want to give your PDF that extra professional touch, Frank Haywood's "Perfect Ebook" is about as good as it gets:
http://www.ebooktimes.com/perfect_pdfs

Step 4:
Start giving it away.

Offer it for free on your website — either as a direct download or to grow your opt-in list. Offer it to your Facebook friends. Offer it to your Twitter followers. Submit it to ebook directories and download sites. Offer it to other websites operating in the same market as you are.

In short, offer it anywhere and everywhere you can.

That's it! That's all there is to it.

Now that you've read this to the end, why not go back up to step one and get started? Within an hour or two you could have an ebook that's ready to start sending long-term targeted traffic to your site.

When you've done it nnce — and realize how easy it is — you'll want to do it again. And the good news is, it will be a lot easier and quicker next time around because you've got all the basics in place: the ebook layout, your ads/links, etc…

Before I sign off, here's a nice download for you. It's a PDF ebook that explains how to use PLR products to create money-making small reports. Click here to download it (217 Kb).

I hope you found this useful.

If you have any questions — or anything to add — please leave a comment below.

All the best,

Michael

Here’s How I Did It…

Monday, March 1st, 2010

Hi. There are four different parts to this post — be sure to take a moment check them all. (You'll see it's worth it.)

Here we go…

You've heard me talk in recent emails about reaching the maximum amount of people by offering ebooks — containing your links — that have broad mass appeal.

My jokes ebook was an example — and I've another one on the way in the coming days. (Stay tuned for that one.)

Here's what's interesting though…

Both ebooks were made by using content that's available in the public domain!

What that means for you is that, even if you've no desire to write your own material — and even if you've no desire to re-use PLR content — you can STILL create quality ebooks/videos/audios/etc using the vast quantity of public domain material that's freely available online.

So how do you get started with public domain content? Where can you find it? How do you know it's REALLY in the public domain?

You'll find the answers to these — and every other question you have — in this brand new video tutorial series:
http://www.public-domain.us/pd-fast/

(NOTE: I've included the terrific 'Public Domain Survival Kit' as well, so you'll be ultra-equipped for your exploration of the world of public domain content.)

**************************

If you're a writer — in any way, shape or form — then you might be interested in checking out how you can use your ability for more than just shopping lists:

**************************

If you have a WordPress Blog, I think you'll like this Plug-in:

**************************

And finally,…

Here's a small PDF for you. It's called "101 Ways to Use PLR Content" and, if nothing else, it's a terrific example of how you can create a short'n'sweet ebook and turn it into a vehicle for bringing people to your website:

(653 Kb)
(Right-click and 'save target as')

That's it for today. Hope you found it useful.

All the best,

Michael

Having trouble with your PDF ebooks?

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

Hi. No matter what kind of website you run, chances are you'll need to create PDF ebooks at times.

Maybe you create your own ebooks? Maybe you create short reports to grow your list or promote your site? Maybe you customize PLR ebooks with your details?

Whatever your reasons for making PDFs, there's a good chance you've found yourself struggling to get it just right.

Well, that's what Frank Haywood's "Perfect EBook" package is all about:
http://www.ebooktimes.com/perfect_pdfs

It shows you, in simple steps how to…

   – Set up your document for proper PDF output
   – Create the initial 3 pages that are crucial to every PDF
   – Add proper, clickable links to your PDF
   – Add a table of contents with clickable chapter titles
   – Add headers, footers, page numbers…
   – How to turn it all into a ready-to-go PDF

Each step is explained in detail using screenshots — and the whole thing can be done using free software.

AND…

It also includes a set of TEMPLATES so that, with a few simple tweaks you can have your PDF ebook ready to go in minutes.

It's simple and straightforward — and it will mean no more headaches when it comes to creating PDF ebooks that look, work and feel exactly like a professional PDF ebook should.

And, thanks to my agreement with Frank Haywood, you can grab this package for a fraction of its normal value.

BUT…

The price goes up by 5 cents each sale.

SO…

Visit this page as soon as you can and you can start creating your own perfect PDFs too:

All the best,

Michael

This will bring lots of visitors to your website

Friday, December 4th, 2009

Hi. I've got something for you that will bring visitors to any of your websites over the short, medium and long term — and those visitors will cost you next to nothing.

It's a simple concept — and one that has worked phenomenally well for me over the past few years.

All you need is a nice ebook — containing YOUR links — that people will really WANT to download, will really WANT to read and will really WANT to pass on to their friends, subscribers, visitors, Twitter Followers…

And I've got the PERFECT ebook to meet those criteria.

The Great Big Book of Hilarious Jokes to Share With Your FriendsIt's called "The Great Big Book of Hilarious Jokes to Share With Your Friends" and you can download a copy right now with full Private Label Rights.

All you need to do is add your links/ads and then start giving it away. The more you give it away, the more it will be passed on to others, and the more it will start sending you a steady flows of visitors.

Like I said, it's a very simple concept — but it works.

You'll find all the details here:
http://www.ebooktimes.com/jokes_1209b

Here's a short quote for you from the ebook, "Viral Marketing Secrets"…

"When it comes to viral marketing, the more entertainment value your package or product incorporates, the better chances you have of people willingly sharing it with friends and family."

That's what gives the 'Hilarious Jokes' PLR ebook its huge viral potential.

It has that entertainment factor.

People who enjoy it WILL pass it along to others — so that they can enjoy it too.

And every time it's passed along you'll be getting your links in front of an increasing number of people.

The inevitable result is more visitors to your websites and more clicks on your affiliate links.

And this is not just short term… it will go on and on and on.
