Two quickies for you…

Saturday, July 24th, 2010

Hi. Two quickies for you today…

QUICKIE #1:

The new Web TV software with master resale rights is selling like crazy. There's obviously a BIG demand for software like this right now.

If you're looking for a hot product to resell — or to use as a giveaway to build your list — then you really should get your hands on this.

It costs $97 on the main site, but you can get your copy here for a LOT less:
http://www.ebooktimes.com/plrc_2107

QUICKIE #2:

A few people have emailed me to find out what's happening with the Weekly Challenge.

Well, not too many of you reacted to the first challenge, so I've gone back to the drawing board so to speak.

Also, the timing isn't right at the moment. I'm away on vacation next week (for three weeks) and, despite whatever intentions I might have in advance, the reality is once I'm away I probably won't get around to completing the updates.

So…

To cut a long story short, I'm going to re-launch the Weekly Challenge in September — and I'm going to attack it full on. I'm hoping that you'll join me in doing the same.

If all goes to plan, together we'll have made significant improvements to our traffic situation by the end of the year.

All the best,

Michael

The Weekly Challenge #1

Friday, July 9th, 2010
Hi. Welcome to a brand new feature that I'm adding to Ebook Times. It's called 'The Weekly Challenge'.

Basically, it's about helping you (and me) start doing all those traffic-building tactics we've been MEANING to try for a long time, but haven't gotten around to because of all the distractions, complications etc.

Hopefully, by presenting you with a specific challenge each week, it will help focus your mind on completing the task — and, thus, growing your business that little bit more.

As I present each new challenge, I'll include a poll asking you to let me know how you did with the previous one. I'll also be asking you to leave any questions, comments, tips and suggestions you might have related to the specific challenge.

Please keep in mind that the challenge should be considered a minimum target — doing it once is good, doing it twice is better!

So, let's get the ball rolling!

I want to ease you into this, so I'm going to make this first challenge a fairly easy one…

This Week's Challenge: Get at Least 10 One-Way Backlinks to Your Website

Getting one-way links to your website is the best way to improve your search-engine ranking and grow your traffic over time.

You should be aiming to get at least 10 new backlinks to your site EVERY week, which is one of the reasons I'm starting with this one first.

Basically, the hope is, once you get into the rhythm of building backlinks, it will become part of your weekly routine and will really help grow and strengthen your online presence.

Here are Some Tips and Resources to Help You Get Started:

- This blog post outlines a great way of getting backlinks quickly and easily.

- Link Directory Submitter is a very useful piece of software for semi-automating the process of submitting your site to 1000's of website directories. (NOTE: If you own the Total Resale Package, you already have this.)

- You could write a relevant article and submit it to the top article directories.

- Get a PERMANENT PR3 backlink here starting at just $17 (for life!)

- Download this Top Sources For Free Backlinks ebook at Cnet Downloads.

- Get your first backlink right now, by leaving a question, a comment, or a useful tip below!

Good luck with this week's challenge!

I Finally Created My First Squidoo Lens!

Friday, July 9th, 2010

Hi. I want to outline the process behind the making of my Hilarious Jokes and UFO Enigma ebooks — in the hope that it might inspire you to create similar ebooks of your own.

Rather than just put the information up on the Ebook Times Blog, I did something else that I've been MEANING to do for ages — I finally created my first Squidoo Lens! It's called Making Ebooks Using Public Domain Content

Besides a lot of useful information, I've also included some nice free downloads in the 'Resources' section.

Be sure to check it out and don't hesitate to leave your questions or comments (you don't need to be logged in to comment).

See you there!

Michael

The UFO Enigma with MRR and PLR

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Hi. One great way to bring more people to your site (over the medium and long term) is to give away ebooks that have broad popular appeal (and that contain YOUR links/ads).

That was the idea behind my Hilarious Jokes ebook (with PLR), and that's the idea behind my new PLR ebook, The UFO Enigma.

These kind of ebooks (ones that are simply enjoyable or entertaining) are still pretty rare — and so get passed around a LOT more than your average 'how to' ebook.

It's a simple process…

You take an ebook like 'The UFO Enigma' and brand it with your own info. Then, you just give it away for free — and encourage your readers to give it away too.

Some of the people who get it from you will pass it on to others (their website visitors, their Facebook friends, their Twitter Followers, their blog readers, their family…) who will in turn pass it on to yet more people.

Taking 20 minutes now to brand a single ebook can result in a steady flow of new visitors long into the future at no additional cost or effort on your part.

So why not give it a shot?

Grab a copy of The UFO Enigma and take 20 minutes to build for the future.

Oh, and by the way…

You also get master resale rights to this package.

That means that, even if you're not interested in the private label rights to "The UFO Enigma" ebook itself, you can still resell the package 'as is' from your own website.

You'll get a ready-to-go website just like this one:
http://www.ebooktimes.com/ufo_enigma_plr_2706

Just change the order link to your own, send it online and you're good to go.

And considering the price, it shouldn't take you long to get a good return.

All the best,

Michael

Hi. Two quickies for you today…

QUICKIE #1

I've just put a new site online offering a very nice piece of software for creating ecovers. If you're looking for a quick and easy way to design professional boxes, books, DVDs, and so on, then this is for you. (Even if you don't create your own products, this is the perfect solution for re-branding all those PLR products you have on your PC…)

You'll find all the details here:
http://ebook-cover-generator.com/

QUICKIE #2

Kim Roach has uploaded a list she calls "The Ultimate Internet Marketing Toolbox" on the Warrior forum. Basically, it's a comprehensive list of everything you'll need to get your work done online.

This is definitely one to bookmark for future reference:

Here are 2 nice downloads for you (with PLR)

Wednesday, June 9th, 2010

Hi. I've got two nice downloads for you today — and both come with full private label rights. You'll find the download link below.

Firstly, just a quick 'heads up' in case you missed my last post about adding Google Analytics code to your web pages.

Basically, I've found a great piece of software that enables you to do all of this…

-> Add Google Analytics code to an infinite number of webpages in the space of one minute! It will add it to ALL your existing pages AND all your future pages without you having to actually edit those pages. (Yes, I know that sounds a bit mad, but it DOES work.)

-> Add any other code you want to past, present and future pages — without needing to edit those pages. Add popup code, or affiliate tracking code or any other kind of code you need across EVERY page on your server — in just one minute.

-> Add PHP code to your pages without having to change your page extension from dot-HTM to dot-PHP. (This saves a LOT of hassle.)

The software is called Easy Code Pro, and you'll find all the details here:
http://www.bizzydays.com/Easy-Code-Pro

And now, your downloads…

One is an ebook and one is a fascinating audio package. As I said, both include PLR. You'll find the direct download links here:
http://www.ebooktimes.com/download_0610

(By the way, the version of that page that I have on my PC doesn't have the Google Analytics code. However, as soon as I uploaded it to my server, it was put there automatically thanks to Easy Code Pro.)

Talk to you soon.

Michael

Look at what THIS software can do..!

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

Hi. Until recently, one of the things I'd been meaning to do for AGES was to add Google Analytics code to all my websites.

I already added it to some of my smaller minisites like TotalResale.com — and the advantages were almost immediate.

Suddenly I knew what was happening on the site. I knew where people were coming from, what pages they were visiting, what keywords brought them to the site, how long they were staying… And LOTS more.

In short, Google Analytics proved to be a treasure trove of intel that I've started using to improve the site and get maximum value out of every page — and every visitor.

The problem, however, is that it takes a LOT of time and hassle to add the Analytics code to all your web pages.

It's all very well if you have just a couple of pages — or if you're just running a blog. You can have the code inserted in no time.

But what if you've got 50 individual pages? A hundred pages? A thousand pages??

Or what if, like my EbookTimes.com and BizzyDays.com, you've got tons of individual minisites set up for different reseller products on top of all the pages across the site itself?

Unless you've got a lot of time on your hands, you're never going to get around to adding the code to all those pages and re-uploading them to your server.

But you know what?

I DID IT!

I added Google Analytics code to ALL the pages on EbookTimes.com and ALL the pages on BizzyDays.com.

And guess how long it took me…

A little under FIVE MINUTES!

On top of that, not only are all the pages on the server now retro-fitted with the Google Analytics code, BUT every single page I ever add in the future will also get the code AUTOMATICALLY!

How the heck did I do it?

Simple.

I used a new piece of software called Easy Code Pro:
http://www.bizzydays.com/Easy-Code-Pro/

All I had to do was paste my Google Analytics code into the software and press the "Create" button.

It instantly created a few small files that I saved to my PC. Then, I just uploaded those files to the server and, hey presto, I've got the GA code on all my current and future pages without ever having to lift a finger again.

Honestly, I have NO IDEA how this works, but it DOES work — like magic.

And get this…

Easy Code Pro isn't just useful for adding Google Analytics code, you can use it to add ANY code that you might want to place on all your pages.

For example, thanks to Google Analytics I discovered that there were a lot of old and obscure pages on BizzyDays.com that were getting regular visitors. I decided it would be a good idea that these pages should contain a PopOver ad inviting people to subscribe to the Ebook Times newsletter.

Again, however, I didn't want to spend hours adding the code to all those pages.

Enter Easy Code Pro.

I pasted my popover code into the software and pressed the "Create" button. Then I uploaded the new files it created. Again, in the space of two minutes I had added the popover code to every page on the site. (Don't worry, it's set to show up once only, so visitors won't get hit with it on every page the visit.)

And if I ever decide to change the popover, I won't have to worry about updating every page again. Just run Easy Code Pro and upload the new files.

I don't normally get THIS excited about a piece of software, but Easy Code Pro has already saved me so much time — and added so much value to my business — it's hard NOT to get excited.

And these are just to examples of how you could use this software.

You'll find more ideas here:
http://www.bizzydays.com/Easy-Code-Pro/

If you're like me, this is a genuinely useful piece of software that you'll be keeping on your desktop, ready to deploy every time you need to go through the tedious task of adding code across multiple web pages.

All the best,

Michael

How to Get Paid for Writing…

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

Hi. Did you know that there are websites out there that will pay you to provide content for them?

It's true!

If you're able to do any little bit of writing at all, (or if you could do with some extra income), then you owe it to yourself to take a look at this page:

This could finally be THAT one thing you've been looking for that will help you get something back for your online efforts.

Here’s a nice little piece of software for you (with MRR)

Thursday, April 1st, 2010

Hi. I've got a nice download for you today. You'll find it below.

Firstly, however, a few words about Scribd.

—- Sidenote —–
In a hurry? Get the details here:
http://www.ebooktimes.com/str_0401
(BTW, I've added a nice video bonus to the page.)
—- End Sidenote —–

So, what exactly is Scribd?

Basically, it's a platform for creating, distributing, giving away or selling documents.

You can use it to share PDF files, DOC files, TXT files as well as Excel files, PowerPoint files and more. You can create documents 'on the fly' inside Scribd — or you can upload them from your PC.

Scribd is a new way of getting your word out to people — sort of like article marketing on steroids.

You can use it to distribute articles, give away ebooks (or sample chapters) for promo purposes, and so on.

AND…

Best of all, you can use Scribd to drive LOTS of people to your website.

Besides all the people that will come into direct contact with you on the site, there are two other important considerations…

1. Google LOVES Scribd content.

2. You can add as many links/images/etc. to the content you put on Scribd — something you can't do freely on sites like Squidoo or EzineArticles.

Scribd is growing FAST and is set to become HUGE in 2010. This is your chance to get in EARLY and establish yourself.

To find out everything you'll need to know about Scribd check out this new guide (plus additional videos) here:
http://www.ebooktimes.com/str_0401

And now, your download. You'll find it here (and it includes MRR):

All the best,

Michael
