Traffic P.O.A. #2

Hi. Welcome to my latest Traffic Plan of Action.
The idea behind these plans is that they take seemingly complex traffic strategies and break them down into their component parts so that you can see for yourself how easily they can be executed.
Today we're going to look at how you can use ebooks with Private Label Rights (PLR) to drive traffic to your website.
Let's get started…
Step 1:
Find an ebook — or a series of articles — related to the topic of the website you want to promote.
Find an ebook — or a series of articles — related to the topic of the website you want to promote.
If you can't find anything specifically related to your website's subject, perhaps you can find something that appeals to the same target market? For example, if your website deals with baby care, an ebook on baby food or dealing with colic or general parenting will reach a lot of the same people you're aiming to attract.
There are plenty of sources of PLR ebooks and articles out there. Here's a couple to get you started…
PLR Wholesaler: the free version has lots to offer, but the full version is simply excellent.
Private-Label-Content.net: A collection of 15,000 articles across a vast range of subjects.
Run a few searches on Google for plr ebooks, plr content, private label articles, private label ebooks and so on to find plenty more sources.
If you really can't find anything to fit your target market, you could go for the 'broad appeal' approach. Basically, this means using a topic that appeals to so many people, that it will hit some of your target market as well. The Hilarious Jokes Ebook (with PLR) that I recently released is a good example of this.
Once you've located an ebook — or collection of articles — be sure to read them to verify that the quality is up to scratch. Feel free to edit them to remove any errors or, simply, to make them your own.
Step 2:
Open the ebook (or compile the articles) in your favorite text editor, such as MS Word. Add your links/advertising for your website towards the beginning and, (this is IMPORTANT), make it clear to the reader that he/she is allowed to give it away to their family, friends, website visitors, Twitter followers and so on.
— Sidenote —You could take this a step further and make the ebook brandable — that is, allow other readers to add a link of their own into the ebook before passing it on. This has the advantage of giving readers a greater incentive to give it to others, thus increasing your exposure. On the downside, it adds extra work for you when working on this POA, so you might want to skip it — at least for now.If you DO want to make it brandable, you might find this tutorial (which includes a Word template) useful:— End Sidenote —
Step 3:
Compile it into a PDF.
If you're not yet equipped for making PDFs, you'll find this blog post useful:

If you really want to give your PDF that extra professional touch, Frank Haywood's "Perfect Ebook" is about as good as it gets:

Step 4:
Start giving it away.
Offer it for free on your website — either as a direct download or to grow your opt-in list. Offer it to your Facebook friends. Offer it to your Twitter followers. Submit it to ebook directories and download sites. Offer it to other websites operating in the same market as you are.
In short, offer it anywhere and everywhere you can.
That's it! That's all there is to it.
Now that you've read this to the end, why not go back up to step one and get started? Within an hour or two you could have an ebook that's ready to start sending long-term targeted traffic to your site.
When you've done it nnce — and realize how easy it is — you'll want to do it again. And the good news is, it will be a lot easier and quicker next time around because you've got all the basics in place: the ebook layout, your ads/links, etc…
Before I sign off, here's a nice download for you. It's a PDF ebook that explains how to use PLR products to create money-making small reports. Click here to download it (217 Kb).
I hope you found this useful.

Nice one Michael! And what’s especially nice is that it doesn’t cost a fortune to do this either!

Thanks for boiling it all down like that. Sometimes the info overload kicks in and makes things seem much more complicated than they need be. Your post was inspiring.
